Ruby Hibiscus G&T

Our signature pink G&T: Ruby Gin with hibiscus tonic beautifully complemented by sweet orange and herby thyme.

Ingredients

50ml Deep South Ruby Gin
200ml Barker & Quin Hibiscus tonic
Slice of sweet ripe orange

Sprig of fresh garden thyme

To make

Pour gin over ice, Add chilled hibiscus tonic

Garnish with slice of orange and float a generous sprig of thyme on top

Double tot of Ruby Gin (50ml)

Ice

Tin Ginger ale

Grapefruit slice on the side

Grapefruit Peel for garnishing

Cucumber for garnishing

Dirty Gin Martini
Dry Gin, Olives, Campari Martini, Splash of Amuth 

(Use a Chilled glass)

 

Double shot of Gin (50ml)

2 x Olives on a Long Toothpick

Shot of Campari Martini

Splash of Amuth

 

Add some brine from the Olives to taste

Classic Cape Dry G&T

A refreshing and timeless cocktail, made the classic way, with lots of ice and our favourite Indian tonic, garnished with lemon zest and a sprig of rosemary

Ingredients

50ml Deep South Cape Dry Gin
200ml Indian Tonic (low sugar if you prefer)
Twist of thinly peeled lemon zest

Sprig of fresh rosemary

Juniper Berries (optional)

To make

Pour gin over ice in a Copa or Ballon glass.  Add Indian tonic to taste (don’t drown the gin!)    Bruise rosemary and stir into drink, leaving it in the glass.

Garnish with twist of lemon zest and sprinkle 3-4 juniper berries

Dirty Mojito
(Lime, Sugar syrup, Mint, Dry Gin, Ice (Gin is the substitute for Rum in this case)

Martini Glass

Double tot of Gin (50ml)

Sugar Syrup (25ml)

Mint 6 to 8 leaves for mixing and one or two for garnish

Lime in Quarters

Cocktail shaker

Crushed Lime

Soda water to taste

Lime on the Side

 

Shake or Stir and pour as is

Deep Southside (Gin Mojito)

A little tired of the ol’ G&T and looking for something a little more wickedly tropical – a gin-based mojito, with mint, sugar syrup and crushed lime for gin-with-a-difference

Ingredients

50ml Cape Dry gin

½ fresh lime, diced

6-8 fresh mint leaves

25ml simple sugar syrup

100ml Soda

To make

Muddle the lime pieces, sugar syrup and the mint leaves in a shaker.  Add gin and ice, and shake.

Pour into tall glass, including mint and lime pieces, and top up with soda

Garnish with a slapped mint leaf and a wheel of fresh lime.

Strawberry Gin Smash
Ruby Gin, Sugar syrup, Ice, Soda water, Mint (or decorate with Pomegranate, or Cherries) 
Instructions
  1. Use long glass

    Smash 3 Strawberries,

    Double tot of Ruby Gin (50ml)

    Half a tot of Sugar Syrup (25ml)

    Stir the Drink

    Ice

    Soda water

    Garnish with the Mint or/and Pomegranate/Cherries
