Once enjoyed as a morning pick-me-up after a night out, this simple classic absinthe cocktail perfectly showcases the herbal , citrus and mint notes in Deep South Green Absinthe. Simple to make, but be sure to find a balance between all of the flavours: not too sweet, not too much aniseed and just a little minty.
Ingredients
- 50ml Deep South Absinthe
- 12ml simple syrup or to taste
- Sprig of fresh mint leaves
- Ice (crushed)
To make
- Stir absinthe and simple syrup in a shaker filled with ice until mixed and chilled.
- Strain absinthe into a glass half filled with crushed ice and stir briefly
- Top up with more crushed ice
- Garnish with a sprig of mint
