Ingredients
- Finger length twist of orange peel (just the zest peeled thinly, no pith)
- 2 sugar cubes (preferably brown) or 2 tsp of demerara sugar
- 1 Tbsp water
- 50ml Deep South Amber Rum
- 3-4 dashes of Deep South Orange bitters (or similar bitters)
- Maraschino cherry or 2 fresh dark morello cherries
- Ice
To make
- Lightly muddle orange peel, sugar and a tablespoon of water in a whiskey glass
- Add rum and bitters and stir until the sugar is dissolved
- Add 2-3 large ice cubes (no more)
- Garnish with cherries
